Hi Melissa, I hope you're doing well!
I just wanted to give you an update on Leelu (Shortcake). She is doing great! She is getting bigger everyday, I can't believe how quickly she is growing. She is such a sweetheart, everyone that meets her just adores her. She is VERY good about going potty outside, she loves the fact that she has a dog door and can go in and out as she pleases. She is very playful, full of life and loves meeting new dogs to chew on :). The only thing we need to work on is to not chase the cat, but she is learning. Well, we still have a lot to work on, as she is still a baby. All in all though, she is amazing and I couldn't be happier with her! I will be taking her to the vet very soon to get a check up and shots. I was hoping you could recommend either the vet that you use or one that is familiar with the breed.

Hi Melissa,
Just wanted to send you an update on Sadie, aka Dolly! She is doing wonderful as we just hit the 11 week mark. She eats like a horse & loves to wrestle with our nearly 3 year old Jack Russell Terrier. She is doing a great job with her potty training - she runs to the back door & paws at it to go out & we didn't even teach her that! She has an awesome goofy personality that we just love! She is so much fun & cuddly too. She sleeps through the night in her cage as long as she has a soft blanket to lay on! We really love having her in our family & look forward to watching her grow! I will send a few pictures in separate emails & I will send you more soon!

Here is a little update on Spanky w/ some old and new pics.... sorry not to
have sent some sooner.... Mr. Spank just had another round of shots/worming
and is healthy as he can be. He weighs about 25# now and his black coat is
so shiny in the sun... beautiful dog. He has very good "door manners" and
will stay outside, sitting, until given the OK to come in. same with his
meals...sit and stay until released... he's plenty smart!
Also doing nicely on the leash... not straining at the leash all the time
and understanding to stay on the sidewalk.... learning to watch my feet and
my pace, so we can move along smoothly together. But he doesn't like his
harness at all.... gets pouty when he has to wear it.
Right now, he's pretty jealous if I'm talking on the phone or playing
guitar.... he misbehaves to get attention...even if he knows he will be
corrected.... just like a kid.... some attention beats no attention
sometimes. He has such an expressive face... can display lots of emotions.
Spanky will bark to come in the house. His favorite toy is a heavy duty,
plastic garbage can lid...I was reluctant to let him have it, as a play toy.
he wrestles it all over the back yard...pushing it, flinging it over his
shoulder, flipping it over and over like a pancake... hasn't been able to
tear it up, or eat small parts of it, so I suppose we're ok. One time he
had it flipped over like a shallow bowl and was curled up in it, out in the
sun, taking a nap... smart pup to bring his own sleeping bag.
He has a large vocabulary of squeaks, groans, yawns, whines, grunts, etc...
very vocal animal. Very physical and tactile...loves human touch and
contact. Powerful, but very sweet pup. My hands are healing nicely.
He's been potty trained for some time now... no need for pee pads in his
kennel/crate, but when I wouldn't let him play in the grandkid's toy stash,
he came and peed on the office rug right by my desk to let me know that he
didn't like my decision.
'Pickle Butt' is learning steadily about being 'mouthy' with folks when he
first meets and they want to pet him and not chewing on their hands, pants
legs and shoes... he loves shoes....again doing better on that. He has more
than a little bit of 'Alpha' in him.
If you are ever over in our neighborhood, please give me a ring and
stop in for a visit.... short notice, just fine. I've been so pooped after
a hard business week, that I haven't gotten around much except for
groceries, etc. daytime, evenings, anytime...really, pls drop by soon.
